The Lost Art of Waiting

I remember as a young teenager in the early 80’s being dropped off at the nearby Erol’s video store to wait for someone to bring back a copy of Revenge of the Ninja, Ghostbusters, or A Nightmare on Elm Street. That was pre-Blockbuster video stores. Today thanks to companies like Netflix and Amazon, except for holiday shopping “madness” events, no one waits in stores for hours anymore to rent or buy… well, anything.
